windows defender

Hi,
I dont know if this the right place to post this question here, but I need help getting
windows defender to work. I get a message saying evertime I try to start it, saying
that the application failed to initialize 0x800106ba. a problem caused this program's service to stop.to start the service, restart your computer or search help and support
for how to start a service manually. Some start up programs are so annoying and would appreciate any advice .
thankyou,

Re: windows defender

This is probably unrelated however ....................
Have you checked Run - services.msc - enter - Windows defender.
Check to see that it isn't disabled. Should be Status - started & Start up type - automatic.
