AVG = slow startup

i got a message from my system performance monitor telling me this:
"these start up programs are causing windows to start up slowly.

Filename: avgrsa.exe

Time taken: 53.8 seconds

i looked in my startup folder and it is empty can u tell me how i can fix this problem.

if it's set to do a daily scan and you haven't been up and running at the specified time it will run on startup.. after updating.. and cause a serious bottleneck and slow boot times.

Hello 7vis,
Even though system performance monitor tells 'These start up programs....' are you having a problem of the pop up or is it the slow start up for which you are asking the solution? If it is slow start up you could stop the daily auto scan or you could get some non-necessary programs off the start up list. There a few errors reported with AVG anti virus which cause some minor problems. You could try re-installing your anti virus too...
