Re: HijackStartMenu

Hi Blue75, without knowing more info i do not know? I used to get it cropping up on an old operating system every time i did a clean install, one of the first things i would do would be to rearrange my start menu to how i like it and Malwarebytes would detect "Hijack Startmenu....etc." during Heuristics scanning ( in other words my rearranging the start menu was displaying behaviour of known Malware not a definite Positive.) I used to let Malwarebytes quarintine it and never had any problems but when i learnt more about it i just put it in the ignore list. Well anyway that was my experince never had it crop up since i changed my OS but suggest you explore all avenues as it appears you already are, all the best

Which antivirus detected it?
It is not a false positive. Download http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php to remove it.

Re: HijackStartMenu

If you are unsure i would just let Malwarebytes do its thing. When i did my machine didnt suffer any ill effects from allowing Malwarebytes do its business
