Vista - User Account Control

Hi folks.

Every now and then, I use PowerTools Lite to see what "rubbish" has accumulated in the Registry etc.
Vista treats this prog as unidentified and displays the UAC window giving me the options of running it or quitting.
Is there a way of letting Vista know that I trust this program and therefor not display the UAC window each time I launch it?

I dont know but one thing you can try is to launch power tools as admin. You can also lower the uac sensitivity.

Yes.Install Norton UAC http://www.symantec.com/norton/theme...=0&depthpath=0

Further to your post, Flavius, given Nortons unfortunate reputation in some areas, is this prog safe in all respects?

IM not a Norton fan either. Is it safe probably, but bloated, and may be difficult to remove.

In my opinion this tool is safe There is a problem - Vista User Access Control - Norton Community

I've never head about comprimising UAC due to this tool.You can also read discussions on our forum about this tool Thoughts on Norton Vista UAC tool

Having done further reading, I think I am going to stay with Vistas own UAC.
