| vista home premium 64 bit | Re: McAfee not registering with security centre I dont think my posts are hard to understand (?) but there seems to be some misunderstanding-I KNOW that when the trial runs out i will NOT be covered. So a few days before it runs out,thats when i get NORTON on. Are you saying that even with Norton i still have to remove McAfee files for norton to work? My main concern is whether McAfee is covering me right now since security is saying it cannot find the product? Thanks |

| vista home basic 32bit | Re: McAfee not registering with security centre we dont understand when things are not put out into detail .... is all the macfee updates up to date ? click on the macfee icon button does it say anything is out of date ? if i was you i get rid of macfee now and put norton on ...to be honest norton is just soo poo id let my dog poo on it !!! i find these best AVs have look .... Kaspersky Lab UK :: Antivirus software Antivirus and Antispyware Software - Download ESET NOD32 Antivirus or ESET Smart Security and eliminate viruses hope this helps .... You must remove mcafee for norton to run correctly. mcaffee is running out. You can wiat till last second and if something goes wrong be unprotected, or change over now in case Hope this helps Ken |

"I dont think my posts are hard to understand (?)" i ended this with a question mark as a way of saying "i believe i'm making sense but really maybe i'm not-AM I?! " It just seemed like the specific question i needed answering was not answered.ie i have mcafee but security saying no. Anyhow,thanks Noddsta for redeeming yourself in my eyes and Ken ,as always for coming to my rescue. To finalise this for good while waiting for help i phoned DELL and guess what? they tell me a trial version does not have full capabilities. So did any of you smarty pants know THAT?  So i shall now get norton on asap and in mean time check out the links you provided. Thankyou. |

It is important to follow lemur's advice re the McAfee Removal Tool prior to installing Norton. Good luck & let us know how it goes. |
