Are these files infections?

I just ran a virus scan on Comodo Internet Security and these were flagged...

Heur.Dual.Extensions C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Implementation\MOM.Test.CMD.exe

Heur.Suspicious@26298449 C:\Program Files\Toshiba\PCDiag\WbemInfo.exe

Heur.Dual.Extensions C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\MOM.Test.CMD\2.0.2670.37315__90ba9c70f846762e\MOM.Test.CMD.EXE

Should I quarantine these or just ignore them?

Thanks.

Re: Are these files infections?

Quarantine and reboot. If anything breaks restore them.

We have no way of knowing from their names. If they are real files and ATI needs them you might brake it, if they are virii and you leave it you have trouble.

Do you have a current working anti virus? what kind?

What do you guys think of Comodo? I had Avast but thought I would give this a try. Avast didn't catch any of these, that is why I'm weary to quarantine them.

Re: Are these files infections?

Probably a false alert. Get a proper suite. Don't compromise your security with freeware.

Re: Are these files infections?

I have McAfee at work. Never a problem.
I think AVG is the best freeware virus scanner, but I suspect others might challenge this.

Re: Are these files infections?

In my past experiences, Avast has done just fine. It performed better than a few paid programs. I tried out NOD32 for 30 days and it didn't find anything. I then went to Avast after that and it found a couple viruses (not false positives either). Why pay for something if you don't have to?

See? And I was going to give Avast a nod, too. LOL.
