Symantec Antivirus?

i have symantec antivirus corporate editon on my computer and all of the sudden for some odd reason the windows security center is telling me its not communitcating with it, its up to date with the virus list, does anyone have an oppionon on this antivirus, any help would be appreicated

My opinion: uninstall Norton and install Microsoft Security Essentials. It is lightweight, free, does a good job of catching viruses, and best of all, I have never seen anyone have problems with it.

You have two options here
1st- uninstall symantec.. we don't recommend it
2nd- try to fix that for you
solution
go to my computer> c drive > programs> symantec > there is the live update incon there.. double click and let it run
or
on click on start > run
type smc -stop then smc -start
see if that makes any difference..

It means that the anti-virus has marked those items as bad. They cannot do any harm; as far as the OS knows, the rogue files don't exist. However, if you ever quarantine an itme you later realize is legit, you can take it out. It is like sending a file to the Recycle Bin: you can retrieve it, but it's not really there. Does that make any sense?
