Vistal standard accounts automatically be promoted to Administrator

Hi,

I ran into a problem and hope someone can help me.

My desktop is a Dell and runs Vista Home Premium(64bits), I set up an account for my son as a standard user, however, I noticed that his account was automatically changed to Administrator. Each time when I reset it back to Standard, it always changed back the next time (a few hours later or the next day) I checked it. I wanted to set up parent control on his account, but it won't work as one cannot set up parent control on an Administrator account. Does it mean my computer is virus infected? What should I do?

Thanks in advance.
Ian

Run a virus scan. If negative, just set up a new user account and then delete the corrupted one.
