Just today I began experiencing an annoying message on my laptop. I am very afraid that it may be a malware or a virus, and I want to know how I can get rid of it so it does not mess up my computer. Please please help me I do not want to loose any or all of my files! The message that constantly pops up, despite my ignoring it, is called Interactive Services Dialogue Detection. It says that there is a message my computer is trying to recieve via internet but something is in the way and it can not be opened. The two options it gives are "Show me the message" and "Remind me in a few minutes". I typed up the entire pop up below.

A Program Can't Display a Message on Your Desktop.

The program may need information or permission to complete a task.
Why does this happen?

-> Show me the message
-> Remind me in a few minutes

->Show program details
Program(s) or Device(s) requesting attention.
Message title: Internet Explorer
Program Path: C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/iexplorer.exe
Recieved: Yesterday, September 05, 2010, 10:35:25 PM
This problem happens because of partial incompatibility with Windows.
Please contact the program or device manufacturer(s) for more information.

Can someone please please help me get rid of this!!:(

This is the site that your link took me to, TechSpot - PC Technology News and Analysis
When I clicked on the download button the screen came up saying "save" "open" etc. and it also said that the application was from www.filescrunch.com . I looked into this site and I think it may be another virus... filecrunch.com exists, but with the s the site is blank except for saying that "
FilesCrunch.com will be here soon
Windows & Mac OS downloads and drivers

I just do not want to get another virus besides the one I have, so can you please tell me if it is safe to use the download?

Hello!

Don't worry! You have obviously caught a re-direct virus. Don't worry, we can solve this. If you do not get through to the proper MBAM website, please do not download anything. Can I please ask you to try the link several times, as some re-directs are slightly random. If you still do not get through, do not worry. Just come back here, and we can sort you out.

Can I please ask you to confirm that the message was from iexplorer.exe, rather than the legitimate iexplore.exe?

I have also uploaded an image of what the MBAM website should look like. If it does not look like that, then please do not download anything!

Thanks!

Richard
