I usually keep getting Windows security center sign in taskbar and when I click on it, It shows me that my Malware protection -> Norton antivirus has been turned off.

I never turned it off in fisrt place. When I hit "ON" button next to Antivirus in the security center, I get a windows permission dialog box popping up. After clicking OK nothing happens. Does anybody know why this is happening and how to fix this? Thanks in advance

My suggestion is to use Microsoft Security Essentials. Does not have problems such as yours, made just for windows, also great for secrurity.
If used in conjuction with the free malwarebytes, and windows firewall coupled with common sense, you will have it made.
That warning can be turned off, but I want you to have (subjectively) the best protection
If not using MSE, the warning is usually erroneous.
