hello Frnds,

now days anti-virus for mac is in market. while everyone says no virus can infect virus. So why these Mac version Anti-Virus is coming to market?

Because there are Viruses for macs

An OS Cannot be completely Virus Free and these Anti-Viruses usually stop the problem before you download

Mac OS X Sucks though and thats why I do not use it

do mac new os(snow leopard) is competent enough to easily run without any anti-virus?

I have a mac pro book laptop. i dont hav any anti-virus in it. can i run it without anti-virus?

I have 4 Macs and my family are hevier users and I have no anti-virus on it. I used windows pc as much I use MAC and I can tell you no virus so far. I see people saying about virus here and there but no get confuse a Trojan is not a Virus is more of a security hole on the OS.

A Trojan is not a Virus but both are Malware Items - As long as you know what you are downloading then everything should be fine (even with windows machine)

+1. A trojan is a a form of malware, and not a security hole. A virus is also a form of malware. Have a look here: The Difference Between a Virus, Worm and Trojan Horse - Webopedia.com or any of the other many articles on Google.

Also, how do you know whether or not you have a piece of hidden malware without tools to check for you? Not all pieces of malware pop up with "You are now infected!".
