User Accounts screen appears whenever I use the Start button.

The User Accounts screen appears continually on my desktop, always when I click "Start", and possibly other times too. I recently changed from Norton AIS to MSE but it's been happening since before then. This is using my own administrator level account.

I have not changed my password, and it appears that I have not lost any actual functionality or access. It's just a nuisance I would like to be rid of. I've seen one or two years-old threads about this here, but for me this just started a week or so ago.

Has anyone run into this recently? I suspect a recent Windows update was the cause, but I'm not sure.

Ah, the joy of posting to a message board from your handheld. Let me guess: Windows smart phone, with the stylus, right? That's what I have as well, and it makes me appreciate your effort in replying all the more.

Regardless, thanks for the response. In spite of your comment above the link seems highly relevant, and I've changed the setting accordingly. I wasn't 100% sure when or how the problem was occurring, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's any time I open an Office app, and that it also has something to do with Microsoft Security Essentials, which I just installed.

Always set your system up with 2 administartor accounts, if one fails you then have access.

The user account is this the one you use have you thought about deleting the user account and starting another one...
