Grrrrrrr.. dang , can not even get to Bios at all ?
I *did* get it to go to Edit Boot Options. Right now, it says Path:\Windows\system32\winload.exe Partition 1 Hard disk: 82df5b34 [/TESTSIGNING/NOEXECUTE=OPTIN IN/MINT]
Not sure where I should go from there.

I am getting stumped , if you cannot change the Bios ,and it will not boot a bootable cd/dvd. I have no further clues, cept to say, that hard drive musta taken a dump . If i come up with something i will post it .
LOL that is certainly one way of putting it.Thank you again for all of your help. I really do appreciate it.

Hey, if you can make this and try to enter that hard drive : Use Ubuntu Live CD to Backup Files from Your Dead Windows Computer - How-To Geek
That is only thing i got left for now.. sorry. but, if you can get that to enter the hard drive , then you will see files on the hard drive, give that tutorial a looking at and see if you can use it.
I'll have him stop and get some blank cd's to save that to tomorrow. I actually got it to where when loading, I hit alt F10 and was able to get the CD to start up. Started going through installation (got super excited) and when it got to Where do you want to install Windows, I chose Disk 0 Partition 1 (total size 298.1 Free space 94.1GB) Disk 0 Partition 2 has 1.0M with 0.0M free. It came up as saying Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation. And it won't let me go any further than that.
Oh, wait...I clicked on Options and it brought up the option to Format. Warning: If you format this partition, all data stored on it will be permanently deleted. At this point, my husband knows he's going to have to dump everything on here and start from scratch. (He recently backed up his important files *music, pictures, etc* on an external hard drive) So......should I?

Back up everything you can .
