Solved DEP Problem

Hi Everyone,
I m new here so please excuse me if I do something incorrect.
I will learn as time goes by.
I'm hoping to here directly from Brink, the administrator, but would certainly appreciate any help from anyone, because I am totally stumped.
I disabled my DEP. Then I decided I might better enable it. I followed all the recommended processes but it still remains grayed out. It keeps telling me,
" The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access is denied."
I am the only user on this computer and I am using the administrator account. I thought about putting my riginal disk inand see if I could correct it that way but was afraid I would lose the files on my documents file.
Please help me someone to correct this problem. I am at my witts end.

Thank you for moving my post to the right area. I see the correct place now.
Thank you for the answer page link you gave to me.
I did indeed find this page before and went thru it.
After rereaing it I realize I missed the, "UAC" portion.
I am thinking this will correct my problem but now must restart my computer for it to take effect. I just wanted to comeand thank you before I done that.

Hi Shawn,
update......
The UAC was correct after all.
The problem seems to stem from the command prompt.
I needed to open it as the administrator then everything was bak to normal.
I know I did this before but obviously I must not have because it seems tohave fixed it this time around haha.
