AdLoader

On the search bar at start menu, after typing ad I found a file: Adloader. When I clicked to open it, my homepage www.msn.com opens.

I don't know how I got it but its location is not traceable:

Captureadloader.JPG

I Binged it and it is reported as a malware. Anybody has a take on this unwelcome file?

Download malwarebytes. Make sure you update it, then run a full scan.

Apparently there's a removal tool here

edit: It seems it's a paid software. You might find a free removal method if you search hard enough.

I've seen this web entry days ago. I do not know what is file explorer unless it is the same as windows explorer.

Using windows explorer, I cannot locate the file. But it is listed on the search menu after typing ad. On safe mode, typing ad on search bar does not show the file. Dunno what that means.

I am guessing that file is no longer in my system. But when I right click it and select delete, it is not deleted. Instead I am asked an option whether or not to create it. I've never seen this option before.

I opted not to create the file.

It may be a reg entry left over after alwarebytes removed it.

The error is telling you that the file isn't there anymore, a good thing, so I bvelieve you're good.

File exploirer and windows explorer are the same thing.
