Vista - Password Reset Disk

Just have a silly question - I have a client with multiple computers running VISTA home basic or premium. If they have the same user name on each computer, will one password reset disc do, or do I have to create a password reset disc for every computer?

(The client is a store selling computers, and every now and then some smarty resets the password on one of the display models.)

Hi Karl, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Unfortunately, the password reset disk can only be used on the same computer it was made for. Plus, when you make one, any previous copy will be invalidated.

This tutorial below may be helpful for your client to. It will show them how to prevent the password from being changed for any user account. This way it can also protect the administrator account in case they need it delete or change a password on any other account that might get created on the display model.
