How to Disable or Enable Password Protection on Wakeup in Vista

INFO: To help secure your computer, Vista requires a password to unlock the computer when it wakes from sleep. This will show you how to enable or disable password protection when your computer resumes or wakes from a sleep mode in one or all of your user account's Power Plans.

NOTE: If you turn off this setting, make sure that On resume, display logon screen is unchecked in your screen saver settings. See step 9 here: How to Use and Change a Screen Saver in Vista

OPTION ONE:
For a Single Power Plan:
NOTE: If you turn off this setting, make sure that On resume, display logon screen is unchecked in your screen saver settings to. See step 9 here: How to Use and Change a Screen Saver in Vista

1. Open the Control Panel. (Classic View)
2. Click on the Click to play Tutorial Video link below.
A) Click the play triangle button in the middle of the black screen.
B) Quickly click the pause (ll) button at the very bottom left, then click on the Click to Play button in the video to play it smoothly.



OPTION TWO:
For All Power Plans:
