thank you so much this was so easy for me to do I have very little knowledge of computers and I hate to keep annoying my boys ...

thanks for the guide i think my case was do to the pc having the shop demo software on it and tey must of stoped it working being an ex display
will try it once i get the laptop fixedgoing to thme tonight to fix a loading problem

thank you and to edit the laptop has been doa due to a fualty hard drive got money back due to not being aviable any more i am looking a vaio insted
