| Member |  Re: Notification Area - System Icons I have always found that a couple restarts restores icons, but now my power and "safely remove hardware" buttons are missing and don't seem to be coming back. First time I have lost the "safely remove hardware" button. any one else missing it? |

| Administrator | Re: Notification Area - System Icons Hello Cyberbike, Have you already tried the tutorial on the first page to see if it can restore you Power icon? Do you have your battery connected to your computer? The Safely Remove Hardware icon will usually only appear when you have a removable drive connected to your computer. As a workaround, you can use the shortcut below for it instead. Safely Remove Hardware Shortcut Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Member |  Re: Notification Area - System Icons Thanks, Shawn. Your manual method at Notification Area - System Icons - Page 7 - Vista Forums worked perfectly. Just had to add the Explorer key to the registry. It made the "Safely Remove hardware" icon reappear and ungrayed the Power box in the Notification Bar Tab of the Task Bar Properties so it could be checked. Cheers. |
