Vista - Flip 3D - Enable or Disable

Hello S26000, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Sorry, but that key combination only works for Flip 3D now in Vista.

You may be able to click on the taskbar, then use the TAB and TAB+Shift keys to cycle through them though.

Hi Shawn, i m working on a computer with Vista Home Premium 32-bit. When i right click on desktop and click Personalize, and click on Windows Color and Appearance, i try to select Windows Aero theme but when i click Apply and Ok, it goes back to Windows Basic. I also tried the .reg file but it did not work. I m unable to get the Flip 3D effect. What else can i try? I also ran WINSAT and updated video driver.
Also, there is no gpedit.msc in this computer. How do i access local group policy editor? I also browsed thru C:\Windows\System32\gpedit.msc but it says windows cannot find it.

Unfortunately Group Policy is not available in Vista Home Premium, only in Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise.

What type of graphics card or chip do they have? It may not meet the minimum requirements to run Aero.

It was working before. Hence i just did a system restore and it worked. I still did not figure out what caused this issue.

I'm happy to hear that you got it working again. I'm not sure what else it may have been either. It sounds like you pretty much checked into the usual suspects.
