I must admit that I have never heard of Magnifier acting like that before. You might consider doing a repair (upgrade) install to see if it can fix the problem once and for all for you.

for what it´worth, I´ve had the same problem with magnifier. It seems to come on sometimes when my cursor hits the edge of the screen. I recently reinstalled Vista but nothing helps.
Vista really has a lot of problems. I hope they get corrected in the next version but am not hopeful.

Hello Willward, and welcome to Vista Forums.

I have noticed that some OEM computers or some mouse brands button option may have a feature for this. If this applies to you, then you might check those specific settings to see if there is a option for the Magnifier to be toggled on and off with an assigned action as that.

yes, the mouse setting had a "magnifier" button on the side. I changed it to "new" and now it doesn´t do anything.
This is a Microsoft Mouse that did not come with my computer.
