| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Hi Abb16ott, and welcome to Vista Forums. Have you tried booting into Safe Mode yet from step 2 in the STEP ONE section? If you have, and it did not work, then you can do a System Restore from boot with your Vista installation DVD. Select a restore point dated before this problem to use to hopefully fix the problem. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| vista home premium 32bit | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. hi just bought my hp laptop a week ago... i got it already 'optimized', im not really good at computers so i just paid for it to save me from installing stuffs and setting up..., it did not come with any installation cd of some sort, my admin account works well. but the guest and others dont.. i get the "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded" everytime i try to log in to them. i tried to follow ur tut but i cant do option one cos the two S-1-5....(and alot of numbers) were not the same and they dont have .bak in the end...so i did option two,,and deleted my (working) admin account using the built in admin thing (cos i cant find any other accounts besides the two)...and made a new administrator account...restarted l got the error message (which is kinda frustrating because it was working before until i did that...), but i can get to the built in admin account successfully tho...so i restarted it in safe mode cos i was planning to do a system restore and then i (accidentally) logged in to the newly made admin account and to my surprise,,,i didnt get the error message and was able to do so successfully...and then after that i was able to log in to my admin account not using safe mode anymore and it works fine... i tried to make another but standard this time, but i wasn't able to log in to it even at safe mode...and then i tried making accounts and restarting my comp again and again... and i found out that i can only make admin accounts and have to log in to it in safe mode first before i could log in to it normally,, but i still can't log in to standard accounts and guest even in safe mode.... i share my laptop occassionally but i dont want them to use admin accounts...any ideas? i cant reinstall cos i dont have those installation cd's, do you think i should ask for them at the store where i bought it? darn this thing makes me wanna...T^T...rawr |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Hi, I have gone through probably all of the tutorials on this thread and everytime I encounter the same problem. Most solutions advise booting into safe mode as the administrator, but since I don't have that automatically selected on my computer, I have to turn that feature on. A process I can't complete because only an administrator can do that. Since I am on a guest profile, everytime something needs administrative approval, it won't work. I need help! Aaron Plus this problem first occured about a month or two ago so i'm not sure a system restore would go back far enough to fix it?? |
