so i read some of the things that worked for other people. the restore, then it would let people into thier account. unfortunatly i'm not as techinologically gifted or informed as othe people. and i don't want to do something that i will regret. i'm currently on my parents computer trying to find out some sort of fix it for the problem. i can't log into my user account service service, like most people in here. i tried the restore option, and i thought i did it right, but when i go to log in, it dosn't work. it got farther then it did though, it actually said welcome this time. but soon deferred back to the issue. i havnt had a problem with this computer so far, so this is rahter dissapointing and upsetting. so i need some help from someone who is going through or gone through the same thing. my step dad tried to help me but he dosn't like vista [wonder why??] so this is really irritating. i wish they didn't default install new computers with stupid vista. =////////////////

Hello Oceansgem, and welcome to Vista Forums.

If you go step by step in the tutorial you should be fine. If you are not comfortable with this, then other than a clean reinstall of Vista you can only do a System Restore using a restore point dated before the error.

You can also try performing system restore from WIN RE.

You could do a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem to see if it can fix it. IT will be an easier way if it works for you.

furtunately system restore has worked for most of you's, congrats!,,, but mi =[ nop, it didnt work wit mi idk why, but im good now i just formatted my hdd and installed everything back on =]
