| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. I would like to post the event viewer log issues as I've fixed this problem and have even recreated id's all to have it happen again. I'm hoping this could help as some times it works and other times it doesnt. Note i may have a related issue with clip art where unless my users sign in as administrators, they can't see clip art. How can I get a clean copy of the event viewer log to post? In the middle pane of for a log, select the entry that you want to post, then right select a entry or entries (hold CTRL key down while selecting) and click on Copy and Copy Details as Text. You can then paste it in a post if it's not to long, or do the below. To save it as .txt file: Open Notepad, right click in Notepad and click on Paste. Save it as a .txt file. You can then upload that file. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Hello Dieter, and welcome to Vista Forums. Are you able to do the STEP ONE section to gain access? If not, then you might see if doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before you got this error may be able to fix it for you. (See yellow tip box at the top of the tutorial) Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Dieter, You would lose anything, other than user folder files, that was installed or saved after the date of the restore point. Files in user folders are not affected by System Restore. Tha backup state is a backup of the user profile SID key. This would the SID key with the .bak at the end of it in the registry. You might see if the last item in the yellow TIP box at the top of the tutorial may be able to help. If not, do you have any restore points with a older date? If not, then you may need to backup anything that you do not want to lose and do a clean install of Vista. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. You will not be able to delete the administrator account while logged on to a standard account. It will not have permission to do so unless UAC will still accept the administrator account's password. If not, and you have access to the built-in Administrator account from Safe Mode, then you might try to create a new adminstrator account first before deleting the old one to make sure it runs ok. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. I'm sorry, but I do not understand what you mean with this "....latest ahs tm service pack 2....". If the latest restore point does not contain SP2, then you will not have it have the system restore using that restore point. System Restore restores everything on your computer other than your user folder files to like it was when the restore point was created. |
