| Vista Home Basic | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Thanks for the advices. What if sometimes it loads, and sometimes not? I have this problem after installing UUSee Network TV and watching programs there. The problem persists after I have uninstalled it. I have 4 user accounts with 3 of them adminstrator type, 1 normal user. Strange enough, sometimes it fails to load the profile when I login the normal user after the adminstrator. Sometimes it fails to load the profile when I login the adminstrator after the normal user. Sometimes no problem at all, even I login all 4 users. My labtop is running Vista Home Basic SP1. I dare not upgrade it to SP2. Can anyone help? |

If it had not been to long a go, you might see if doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before you installed that program may help. I would recommend that you backup anything that you do not want to lose to be safe though. |

| Vista Home premium 32bit | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. I had the exact same issues w/ it was just whenever. Disabled User Account Controls (UAC) and the problem has gone. System restore corrected it for a short time and so did recreating the account but it continued until I disabled UAC and no more issues. Yes a security issue but not a bad one. Good Luck. |

Adding further to the problem the system looks unresponsive for some instance: 1. say some buttons on FireFox do not function until I press it many times; 2. copy and paste in Gmail or File Explorer do not function until I try the 2nd or 3rd time copy/paste. Sorry I don't know if I need to open a new thread for this, or if it is related to the same User Profile problem I have. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Jchee, As a test, create a new administrator account to see if everything runs ok while logged in it. Hopefully it's just a issue with your current user account. If not, then you may need to reinstall Vista. |

| Win7 64-bit Pro | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Hey guys and girls. I believe that I have a situation that hasn't been touched on so far. If you have I apologise. It involves the same error "The User Profile....blahdyblah" error but with a few confusing twists. I only have one, administrator, account and it's working just fine. But when I turn on the guest account or create any other accounts and then try to log onto either of them it simply gives me the error. So the guide options don't really apply. For example if I create a new profile for the rest of the house called "House". Then I have Frank and House profiles on the logon screen. However House doesn't work. As for the SID keys I have the following; S-1 5-18 : ProfileImagePath Data: %systemroot%\system32\config\systemprofile S-1 5-19 : ProfileImagePath Data: C:Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalServices S-1 5-20 : ProfileImagePath Data: C:Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkServices S-1 5-21 (very long number) ProfileImagePath Data: C:\Users\Frank (note no .bak endings) What I find strange is that there are no SID key for the House profile. Which make me wonder if there is something else amiss here. Ive tried creating a new account using safe mode in the Frank admin account with no luck. If anyone has any ideas or has a similar problem please help. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. Hello Frank, and welcome to Vista Forums. You wouldn't have a SID key for "House" until you actually logged on to it the first time to have the account fully prepared and setup. If you cannot create a new account at all, then I would recommend to back up anything that you do not want to lose to be safe. If it has not been to long before this started, you might see if doing a System Restore at boot using a restore point dated before you had this problem may be able to fix it. Hope this helps, Shawn |
