| vista home premium x32 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD You wuld first need to use vlite to create a version of the install that has SP1 included. Best way is to search for vlite 1.6 then upgrade it to 2.0 so you don't have to download the entire WIAK file. Create the new dvd with SP! installed on it and then use that to create the USB drive version. The other alternative is to create a USB drive using the origonal version and just make sure to download and copy sp1 into a folder on the USB drive and manually update. |

| Vista Ultimate x32 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Using Vista 32 Ultimate, I have been trying to make a Vista 64 disk complete with SP1. I have copied the Vista 64 CD, downloaded Vlite, downloaded WAIK for Vista SP1, downloaded the SP1 update for x64, installed Vlite, installed WAIK, and copied the wimgapi.dll file to Vlite. When I run Vlite, all goes well until I get to step 10. I pick the x64 SP1 file, press open, and get the message "64-bit hotfix and language integrations can only be done in the 64-bit host." I obviously did something wrong, but what? Hotch |

| Vista Ultimate x32 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Brink, Thanks for the quick reply. I was led astray by the first sentence of your tutorial, which seems to imply that it could be done. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Sorry Hotch, but it cannot be done until after you install the 64-bit Vista. I have added it in the Warning box to help let people know about this. |

| VISTA HOME PREMIUM X64/ 7 x64 / 7x86 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Hi Hotch, If you have enough space on your hard drive , you could create another partition, install the 64 bit non SP1 version - without entering the product key - and boot into that to create your slipstreamed dvd. This tutorial shows how to skip entering the product key - even when installing by booting from the dvd, the steps for skipping the product key entry are the same. Clean Install From Upgrade Vista Hope it helps SIW2 Hi Shawn - like the snowman look ! |

| vista home premium 32 bit | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD I have downloaded and installed the vlite program. Then, when I download the WAIK file I receive a file named this 6001.18000.080118.1840-KB3AIKL-EN. I do not know what program to open this with. I assumed that this would be a zipped file. ![]() Don't know how to get there from here. thanks |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Hi! I'm new here. I just installed vLite. Now downloading the WAIK file. That's super huge. I have been searching on where to download the Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 trial where I can upgrade from my Windows Vista Home Basic. Even though I have the key, I cannot upgrade from it using the disc I have. At last I understood why and was very puzzled what should I do since I borrowed this disc from my friend. Just asking, is it possible to upgrade when I use UltraISO to mount the .iso file to a virtual disc? Thank you, and Very nice tutorial =) -SomeH0w~© |
