| Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Very easy to follow instructions. Very much appreciated. Can anyone tell me why WAIK is not user ready for Vista? Why did I have to move the .dll file? Remember. I am a newbie.... |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Hello TheThinker, and welcome to Vista Forums. That would be a glitch with this vLite version and WAIK not properly recognizing it in Vista 32-bit. About all we can do is contact vLite and send a report to them to hopefully have them correct this. Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Hello Trax, See if this may be able to help: ![]() Quote: WARNING: There is a glitch in the vLite 1.2 version. WAIK is not properly recognized in Vista 32 bit. You may need to manually copy and paste the wimgapi.dll file from WAIK into the root vLite folder (main folder) in C:\Programs for it to work properly. |

| OEM Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit (x86) - SP1 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD I created one of these just now, and everything worked perfectly. However, the Upgrade/Repair Install is still disabled and says that the “upgrade cannot be started” and that “to upgrade, cancel the installation and then choose the upgrade to a version of windows that is more recent than the version you are currently running.” And I still cannot repair my Vista... Did I do anything wrong? I did this using my Dell OEM Windows Vista Home Premium disk, which does not have SP1 on it already. I triple checked that I did everything to the letter, especially the SP1 Slipstream part, and yet the Repair/Upgrade option is still grayed out. Is there a special method that needs to be used in order to be able to perform a Repair Install or something? Please help! EDIT: I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but I had to use a DVD-R for this and not a DVD-RW or DVD+R. Would using either of those types of multi-layer disks make a difference in the outcome? Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Last edited by EvilOzzness; 02-22-2009 at 10:54 PM.. |

| Vista x32 Home Premium | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Hey, Great job by the way. I'm trying to slipstream SP1 onto a Vista x32 Home Premium edition DVD, and oddly enough, there is no slipstream option available for the "Home Premium" edition. I checked the other x32 versions and "slipstream" seems to be available for them. So, is this a known issue? Is this an issue at all? Is there a workaround for this? Or, can I use Vista Home edition to make the SP1 disk for Home Premium? Thanks ~mb |

| VISTA HOME PREMIUM X64/ 7 x64 / 7x86 | Re: Vista SP1 Slipstream Installation DVD Hi EvilOzzness, There are a couple of other reasons why upgrade might greyed out - they will be listed. One is a shortage of disk space , as I recall. You might check what possible reasons are given and see if one of those may be responsible. Hope it helps SIW2 |
