How to Make UAC Require Password for Extra Admin Security in Vista
Information
Using this will not just give the usual Continue option when elevating with the UAC prompt, instead it will ask you for a password. Great for people who are paranoid about security and want to allow others to use their pc without worrying about them installing, removing deleting or changing settings even while using an administrator account.
WARNING
The Vista Home Basic and Home Premium versions do not have the Secpol.msc feature, so this tutorial will not work for them.

Click the image to open in full size.

Step One

First, go to Local Security Policy.

(Type Secpol.msc into run) then elevate the command.

Step Two

Click Local Policies then click Security Options

Step Three

Scroll down to User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode and set it to Prompt for Credentials.

Click the image to open in full size.

From this point on, any time you are required to elevate something, you will have to re-type an administrators password.

End Of Tutorial

Please post feedback on how this went for you or what I can do to improve this tutorial.
