Hello Brink,

Once Caps Lock is disabled, can I use it as a hotkey in a game, or is it completely disabled?

Thanks!

Hello Annahliar, and welcome to Vista Forums.

It really depends on the game. If it is a game that goes into full game mode and not just a window in Vista, then it may still work for the game. It will not hurt anything to give it a try though to see. Please let us know how it worked for you, or not. ;)

You're welcome. Sorry it didn't work in your games. :(

Hello again, Brink.

I found a way to remap Caps Lock (or any key), not sure if you're interested in making a tutorial about this, but I thought I'd share this information with you. Anyways, instead of doing "00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,3a,00,00,00,00,00", I did "00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,0D,00,3a,00,00,00,00,00",which basically remapped Caps Lock to "=" (no quotations).

It took me a little while to understand the binary code, but I figured it out pretty quickly. :geek:

Here's a link to the website I found this amazing information from: Remap the CapsLock Key or any Key in Windows XP, 2000, Vista and 2003.

Again, thank you for your amazing site and tutorials! Hopefully you'll add this one to your site as well. ;)
