| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: File Extension Type Icon - Change Hello Novoccaine, This has nothing to do with the changes that you made. It is this way by default instead. I have not tried it, but you might test it with "2 Default Application". |

| Windows 7 ultimate | Re: File Extension Type Icon - Change Unfortunately number 2 didnt work, ill probably just try a few others. I do have another question though. I just discovered how easy it is to just install new themes to windows, and icon packs, but now trying to install theses icon packs im left with the last icons that i changed manually that just dont fit the rest of the theme/icon pack. >> How can i revert all icons back to their default state, so i can then reapply the new icon packs and in theory have ALL of the new icons rather that just the ones i changed. I deleted the registry entry ShellIcons which i used to set the default folder and hard drive icons, so those new icons work fine. Its just the manually set icons by going into the properties>Change icon, that dont work right now. Again thanks for the previous quick response |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: File Extension Type Icon - Change Novocaine, Well, it was worth a shot. ![]() You can restore the default file extension icons and associations using this tutorial below. If the default file extension is not listed, then just post there to request it. I'll be happy to add it. Default File Type Associations - Restore |
