| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Removable Drives - Allow or Deny All Access Umm, ok. With the USB drive connected, go into Device Manager and expand and look under Disk drives. Right click on the USB drive(s) this is happening with, and click on Uninstall and OK to approve. Afterwards disconnect and reconnect the USB drive to see if Vista will properly detect it now. Did you have the latest motherboard chipset drivers installed? |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Removable Drives - Allow or Deny All Access What is the brand and model of your computer? I'll see if I can't find a driver download page for you to check with at your computer manufacturer's website. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit. | Re: Removable Drives - Allow or Deny All Access It turned out that one of the USB drives was faulty. The problem with the other was that it was attached to an extension cable to the USB connection on the computer, and all I had to do was get a better extension cable. I really appreciate the time you took to help me,and apologise for the delay in getting back to you,but I have been away from home. Best regards, Roy |
