Does applying a new boot skin via Visual Master slow down boot time? I read somewhere that 3rd party boot software increases boot times.

Hello Darkbluetuber,

If the image file size is to large, then it may take a second or so longer to load it. That's all.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Question Stardock Software

What's the difference between BootSkinVista and LogonStudioVista? They're both made by Stardock and both seem* to do the same thing.

Just curious...

Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

With thanks,
Erik

Hello Erik, and welcome to Vista Forums.

While both programs change a screen image to one you want instead, the boot screen (top) and log on screen (bottom) are two completely different screens.

Re: Boot Screen - Change

When installing option 1 I get this during install but I haven't ran the program to change my screen. I also ran it as admin too. Also the program runs ok but as I said I haven't changed the screen.
