Re: Boot Screen - Change

Strange, did you download the Vista version? How does option 2 run for you?

I'm fixing to test these out again to see how they work for me.

Re: Boot Screen - Change

Option 2 works and I know this isn't part of the boot screen but you can't patch your theme.

While both programs change a screen image to one you want instead, the boot screen (top) and log on screen (bottom) are two completely different screens.

That answers my question. Thank you, kindly, Shawn!

Most appreciated,

Found the problem with option 1 for the installation error. You will need to right click on the bootskinvista_public.exe installation file and click on Run as administrator. It installed without the error afterwards.

Re: Boot Screen - Change

I tried that but I must have some residual stuff somewhere cause it still gave me the same error but I like option 2 the most because you don't have to pay to get more boot screens also I can choose my wallpaper as my screen too. I'll keep that in mind if I install it again. Thanks Shawn.

Re: Boot Screen - Change

Hello Sandy, and welcome to Vista Forums.

When you change the default boot screen, it also replaces the green running bar as well. You will have to keep the default boot screen to keep the bar.
