| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Windows Mail problems Shawn, Periodically, I get an error message when trying to shut down that says: “Outlook Express FolderSync Window Class: WinMail.exe-Application Error-The instruction at 0x0502399d referenced memory at 0x0000006c. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program.” I suspect the problem is probably caused by something that was imported along with wab from my old computer, since it mentions Outlook Express. Anyway, when I click on OK, the program ends and I’m able to shut down, but not before. What change can I make to settings or whatever that will eliminate this problem in shutting down? Jim Trend have been helpful and haven't found the problem yet but have a workaround for it, by using File Exit within Mail instead of using the red X, it shuts down properly and without error. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Windows Mail problems I tried the tutorial that was supposed to allow me to delete the ever-building number of email messages in my deleted email box. I followed the instuctions and downloaded the file. But it didn't help and my deleted email box is still sitting there. HELP! Thanks in advance. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Windows Mail problems Hi VE3BDB, Welcome to Vista Forums. ![]() What antivirus or security program are you using? See the FIRST section in the tutorial for more on this. It can cause them to not be deleted. Have you tried the manual delete options to see if it will work for you? Shawn |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Windows Mail problems Unfortunately none of the solutions in here answered my question as yet. I will try and outline below what the issue is and hopefully someone can help me out. I wish to create a group contact mail list or even add/alter details for a contact but whenever I click on the buttons to do so. The screen I need flashes up on the screen for a moment and then dissappears - it is not automatically minimised or even showing on the desktop itself. It isnt anywhere. Maybe someone out there in Vista Guru land will know how to fix this problem. Cheers Janet |
