Hi Josylau,

If you still have not got it going yet, then:

It has been rumored that the KB941090 Update will work on all Windows Mail mailbox folders for removing the stuck undeletable message. I would recommend to try it and see, it will not hurt anything to try it.
1. Download the Microsoft Help and Support: KB941090 Update Download Package for your 32 bit or 64 bit version of Vista.

A) Update for Windows Vista 32 bit (KB941090)

B) Update for Windows Vista 64 bit (KB941090)

2. Install it.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Windows Mail problems

Ok, I downloaded the thing, but no results, I even did a complete recovery of my computer today and nothing.

Someone told me today that a few peolple have the same problem and that it would probably due to a Windows Update.

I don't know.

Thanks

Re: Windows Mail problems

Well Josylau,

It sounds like you tried everything. It has to be something with the SMTP account setup. ?? I would check back with your provider to see what they say again. I cannot read French, so their website setup instructions are unreadable for me.

An alternative would be to use a Gmail account with Windows Mail.

Re: Windows Mail problems

Your welcome Josylau,

Sorry I was not able to help in your situation. You might use the alternative above until you can get your account going again.

Re: Windows Mail problems

Just FYI,
I had the stuck mail problem in my inbox. I found and read this thread and set out to disable McAfee and cancel my
mail account. But when reading through the "FIRST", and then
the "Second", I decided to try the quick fix - Microsoft Help and Support: KB941090 Update Download Package .

It worked right away. No disabling or cancelling anything.
The link takes you to Micrsoft's " HotFix" and corrects the problem.
No more stuck mail Just go in and delete them.

Re: Windows Mail problems

Hi YoRay,

Welcome to the forum.

I am glad to hear that you did not have to delete your email account. I am noticing that it is usually using Norton that requires this.

Thank you for the feedback,
Shawn

Re: Windows Mail problems

I've been trying to do each and every step to delete all files inside Windows Mail. It keeps telling me that I am not allowed to do it. Am I still missing a step?
Thanks!

Hi Alejandra,

Welcome to the forum.

Are you doing this within a Administrator account?

Talking Re: Windows Mail problems

I have sub zero IT skills and was able to follow your instructions and solve the problem - thank you!!!!!!!!! But it has crossed my mind that I might have less computer problems if I had no Internet security than with!
