Glorious. I love it when the big companies actually release a patch that does something visible.

Re: Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems

That's great news crashnet. It's about time Lenovo started releasing some patches. Now all they need to do is resolve their chkdsk issue.

Re: Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems

There have been alot of Lenovo owners reporting that they cannot get chkdsk (Check Disk) to run at startup on their computers no matter what they tried.

Max performance scheme I guess. Why save power if you're plugged in?

Re: Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems

Hi Hachi,

Welcome to Vista x64 Forums.

I agree with Starlionblue. If your on the computer all day like me, then the High Performance power plan is the way to go. You can always adjust the settings in that power plan down a bit if you wanted to also.

that's a selfish statement. because electricity is the #1 source of greenhouse gases. because the nation's power grid, climate change aside, is struggling to keep up with demand. because wasting is not a good thing to do.

you don't have to "believe" in anything to realize it is wise to try to reduce your footprint (of greenhouse gases emission). watch this video:

You messed up try again

then come back here and tell me if you can poke a hole in this theory.

aside from all the altruistic reasons above, there is one more selfish reason to add to the pile: you might close to double the life of your hard drive if you let it spindown as opposed to keep it running 24/7

Re: Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems

Hi all!
It's me again
Well, I've problem installing Flash player in Vista64 and I found some info here and in Google.
Following some info I've found with Disk cleanup that I have 8 GB As hybernation file cleaner!!!!!
I'm trying to understand how this power setting are....but 8 GB ..... I think it's unacceptable.
My pc is always running, and sometimes go to sleep.....
Can I erase that 8GB ?
Sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance

lio

PS I found now this:
Quote:
my understanding of hibernation is that it's the size of your physical ram...
And I've 8 GB of RAM....... but it's absolutely crazy!!!!!!!
