| Win XP, Vista Ultimate x32, Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Administrator Account You can also activate the Administrator account by right clicking My Computer on the desktop and selecting manage. Double click Local Users and Groups - Users in left pane. In middle pane there should be 3 accounts, Administrator, Guest, and the one you created when installing Windows. Right click Administrator, select Properties and uncheck Account is disabled. |

If you are looking for a way to get into vista, make a password recovery disk in a USB thumb drive and boot of it. Thats what I do. Its easier than carrying installation CDs so you can recover anytime, anywhere unless the computer wont let you boot of USB (very unlikely though)  |

You can only enable the built-in Administrator account while logged into an administrator account. This is a security feature to keep anyone without an administrator account on your computer from doing this and doing unthinkable things to your computer. Sorry, Shawn |

After enabling the built-in Administrator account, did you log off from your current account and log on to the built-in Administrator account? |

Be warned though. This is usually caused by some form of malware. You might run a full antivirus and spyware scan to be safe. Task Manager - Enable or Disable For a free great anti-spyware program, you might run Spybot Search & Destroy. The home of Spybot-S&D! Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit Im Afraid | Re: Administrator Account Yes well i lost vista to a tone and by a tone i mean over 100 trojans and 200 viruses amongst other things until i got rid of the destroyed norton and replaced it with Kasperskys thanks :P |
