Re: Take Ownership of file

Hello pjjppj,

In addition to Fmjc001's post, your C: drive should have the owner as TrustedInstaller with your administrator account listed as having "Full Control" Allowed.

What does your C: drive say in it's Security tab Properties window?

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Take Ownership of file

That does not sound good. Try booting into Safe Mode and see if you can check it there.

Re: Take Ownership of file

I would recommend doing a System Restore (Method Two) using a restore point dated before you lost TrustedInstaller as the owner to see if it can fix this and allow you to also see who the owner of your C: drive is again.
