| Windows Vista™ Ultimate x64 | Re: Take Ownership of file Open an elevated command prompt and revoke all permissions on your account (if any) and the admin group. Then give the admin group full control and do a restore. EDIT: Just to let you know. If you have denied access to either users or everyone thinking this will secure your computer, it will a bit. But as long as your account is a member of ANY group with a DENY permission no matter what, you will be denied access. You should actualy grant full access to all groups and deny access to no groups and then restore. |

"icacls c:\* /remove:d users" "icacls c:\* /remove:d everyone" "icacls c:\* /remove:d guests" Then try again. After you run the above run this; "Icacls c:\* /grant administrators:f" |
