You might try and see if you can take ownership of the BTH key while in Safe Mode. This way it would not be use.

Safe Mode

Tried safe mode to take ownership of my bluetooth registry keys and still the same result. I had been trying to remove the keys after uninstalling bluetooth from the device manager so it shouldn't have been in use anyway. Think I need to try a completely different tack, thanks for the help.

Re: Take Ownership of file

Vonkarmanstreet,

I agree, but I must admit that I do not know what else to try for this.

You might also post this in the General Discussion forum to see what other suggestions you mat get.

I hope you get a solution soon,
Shawn

Re: Take Ownership of file

Hello Dinesh,

Yes, you can take ownership of a registry key. Step 3 in Method Two (Option Two) will help show you how to.

I have updated the information box at the top of the tutorial to give a better detail explanation of the purpose of taking ownership of a item to be able to allow your account full control over a item to be able to modify or delete it.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
