All I can say (and I will) is to each his or her own!

If you follow the steps and toggle back and forth (via ALT Tab, for instance) between the tutorial and whatever you're attempting to do, there shouldn't be any real problem.

If you want to save a tutorial for future reference OR you want to follow the instructions offline and close the browser, just copy and paste it into MS Word if you want to keep the hot links and graphics or into note pad which won't put any graphics in it (maybe a lot of white space though) and then change the font size to whatever you want.

If you want to do less scrolling while viewing the screen, you can use the keyboard shortcut to decrease the screen size by pressing the CTRL key and the minus sign. To increase the screen size, press the control key and the plus sign.

You can bookmark the specific tutorial or email yourself the link. The possibilities are endless!

Besides, the people running these forums are doing so on their own time and money. I'm grateful they are willing to do these things for the general public.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it! Please remember, I said this is my opinion. Not a criticism of anyone else's opinions. I don't do that.

Steph

Other than that, it's great! ("Other than that, how did you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln?")
Hi oldcrow74,

You should be able to get a printable version of the tutorial by clicking on Show Printable Version under the Tutorial Tools box to the upper left of the tutorial. I hope that this can give you what you need to make printing them out easier for you.

There is a great little utility called 'Snagit' by techsmith, it will capture scrolling windows, active windows, selected regions etc. and save, print or transfer to other application. I don't know how any Windows user could be without! And no I am not a salesman for them.

By the way this is my first visit to vistax64. Having been a windows user since v3.1 I still find there is much I dont know, ("There are Known knowns and known unknowns ......etc." ) especially with some of the little quirks introduced in Vista, hopefully the answers are to be found here, if not it seems the best place to ask the question.

Thumbs up Re: Welcome to the 32 bit and 64 bit Vista Forums Tutorial Section

I recently just migrated to dual core 64. For all it's worth, this forum rocks. I think transition a little less painful than I was warned about. Myself, I find 64 bit OS just jams.

Thanks to everyone who posts the good info here. (hope this rite place to say thanks, )

Re: Welcome to the 32 bit and 64 bit Vista Forums Tutorial Section

Hi, Thanks for this website and help etc. I donated as well under my hanomag37 email address as I plan on asking some questions not that I am currently waiting for a newly ordered computer to arrive.

I noticed that with some issues/ posts, computer specifications were being asked for. How do I add those to my profile, I didnt see a clear place to add them.

Thanks in advance and great job with this site.
