Strange, I'm not sure why it isn't showing anything for you. It does for me when I click on Edit. Rename the file and change the file extension from .reg to .txt. You should be able to open it in Notepad like any other text file.

Re: New Folder

Hey, actually I just discovered that I still have the problem, I can rename only the shortcut folders, but not the new ones... Any other ideas? Thanks, Tony

Re: New Folder

Hi again

unfortunately it didn't help as well
I recently found new problems - concerning the touch pad - my scroll function doesn't work, and some other problems... I took my notebook to a person who understands pretty much than I do, and he advised me to reinstall my operational system - the notebook is two years old and I never used the recovery disc and no re installation for these two years... Do you think that the problems could be caused by some piled problems during these two years?

Thank you very much for paying attention to my problems
Tony

Re: New Folder

Tony,

First, I would recommend backing up anything that you do not want to lose to be safe.

Well, before doing a factory restore, see if doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before these problems may be able to fix them for you. If not, then create a new administrator account to see how everything works while logged on to it instead.

Re: New Folder

Ok, so do I have to remove everything from my notebook - I mean that I have heard that if you re install your pc only the things in C (if you keep things there) will be lost... I was thinking exactly this, but as far as I understand even though I have to make back up... And about system restore - I did it and it didn't even perform correctly - the system restore couldn't finish successfully ... I think it is time for re installation, I made the restore point (whatever it means... ) Keep your fingers crossed for my poor computer to survive
