New Folder

How to Fix New Folder in Vista

INFO: If you cannot create or rename a New Folder because Folder is missing from the Context menu's New menu...

I don't know what the undo is for. Its only there when i delete, copy or paste a file. Otherwise it does not show up.

LOL Dbacs,

I never really noticed the Undo before in Vista since I always emptied the Recycle Bin afterwards. It is part of Vista.

Try this tutorial below to restore New to the context menu, then do this one again to restore Folder.

New Context Menu Item - Restore or Remove

Hi I'm new here and I have a problem. I just started using Vista and I am having trouble creating new folder. I right click on desktop the word new is there but it. says its empty . I have tried the the new folder fix but nothing happened. I hope you can help me.

Strange. You can see if doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem can fix it for you. This tutorial will show you how to if needed.

I have did restore and again nothing It a brand new laptop only a week old with vista and I couldn.t make a new folder since I got it. Its has the word new and beside it there is nothing just the word empty. (I'm stumped.)
