Please help me I did the above thanks for the post, but my reboot time is 242 seconds way longer than some of the guys in this forum. tried a few of the mentioned ways to reduce boot up time but no luck

Hello BLKMAX, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Could you also please fill out your system specs? It may play a part on how fast your system is booting. Plus, someone with the same system may be able to compare how fast they are booting with yours.

In addition to ones that you have not tried, you might also see if this may help.

Hi Brink thanks for your help! I just updated my specs not sure if my RAM is playing a part of this issue could having too much cause issues as I have 8gb?

No, 8GB of RAM would not cause this. You might see if disabling your startup programs one by one and testing your boot time to see if one them may be causing this. These are usually the cause of this from a driver or antivirus program loading at startup.

man, disabling the TMM really sped my system up, especially while loading the desktop! now it doesn't flash and stuff when it's loading! well, i don't have to worry about hooking up a monitor seeing that my computer doesn't have the hook up thing.
