Re: Windows Explorer Folder View settings

Hi Gauder,

Sorry, no it will not help for the Open, Save, or Save As dialog boxes. That is a completely different beast. This has always been spotty at best. I notice that it seems to only remember the last save/open location for everything, but some programs will remember differently.

The user folders in the Start menu or top part of the folder tree are junction points to the C:\Users\(your username) location. These two locations will have a separate memory for each and must be set separately to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Windows Explorer Folder View settings

I recently changed my folder settings in the regedit about 3 days ago but i didnt increase the folder view memory, so my question is do i have to go and redo from step one or can i just do the memory part of the tutorial?

Is it possible to handle this or not? Couldn't decrypt what you actually wanted to say

Hi eightOfive,

No need to start back at step one, you can pick up on step 21 to edit just the memory section.

Re: Windows Explorer Folder View settings

Thanks a million for this guide. I reformatted from 32-bit to 64-bit and ended up with this folder view bug. I was going insane trying to fix it, and this worked perfectly.

Good job!
