| Vista Ultimate x32 | I finally got around to doing a bit more testing, and found it is actually a problem with the Dell machines. When in the port replicator it does not allow the system beep to be heard. I have tried this on about 10 Dell machines now and all do the same thing. In the replicator no sound, out of it the beep now works. I have asked Dell, they say it is Windows issue with audio drivers & Microsoft didn't even respond. So there you go, it is a problem with the port replicators and I have no fix until someone issues a driver update. That was exciting wasn't it. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Toggle keys beep alert Dutchy, Thank you for posting back your results and findings. As a rule of thumb it is usually always the device driver makers fault for not making the driver work with the OS. I hope they have one for you soon. Shawn |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Toggle keys beep alert Hello DSW, There is no way to have this beed from the internal speaker connected to the motherboard. The only thing that I can think if is to change the default sounds for each sound event to one that he may be able to hear instead. You might also look in the Ease of Access Center in the Control Panel for more options that may help make the computer easier for him to use as well. ![]() Hope this helps, Shawn |
