| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Toggle keys beep alert Hi Dutchy, and welcome to Vista Forums. I know this is a duh question, but did you click on the Apply or Save button afterwards to apply the setting change? What type of keyboard do you have? Perhaps someone with the same one may have a suggestion to offer as well. Shawn |

| Vista Ultimate x32 | "I know this is a duh question". Now there's the quote of the week Brink, I hit apply, went back redid it, hit save then apply, rebooted, removed the setting, reapplied the setting, checked the bios, looked underneath the table (just in case), gave up and had a Zambucca shot instead. The keyboard is a Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 combo. My laptop is in a port replicator with an additional monitor, but even so, the alert still does not work when I remove the laptop and use only the laptop keyboard. I even went through the registry, but couldn't find anything (yet) that screams change this setting to make it work. |

| Vista Ultimate x32 | Re: Toggle keys beep alert That was quick, don't you sleep? It's not just me there are three of us here with the same set up, and it won't work on any of the three machines. We all have complete access to the machines, so no security/permissions issues, might have to head back to that Zambucca ! Lets try a different way to look at this, have you tried to change the sound that is played when you hit caps lock? Last edited by Dutchy; 08-27-2008 at 06:19 PM.. |
