Well it most likely rebuilds it. Did you try using Stardock's Logon Studio Vista again?

wysiwyg,
Have you already tried doing a System Restore using a restore point dated when you had the default log on screen to see if that restored it?
I doubt it would go that far back.
I may have to re-install windows to get rid.
Earliest it would go back was 16th June. I had the screen longer.

Did you see if uninstalling and reinstalling the program, then trying to change the image back using the program as Peter suggested already?
If so, then a reinstall may be needed.![]()
This is really awesome...
Thanks a lot Brink

Did some more checking, and thought I'd look at Tune-up Utilities, found it was out of trial, so decided to Uninstall, and guess what, the new Logon screen flashed up on restart.
So it seems depending on what alterations you make in tune-up, can affect your logon screens.
Needless to say I had no trouble on Win7 as it (TUP) wasn't installed.
We live and learn.

Over the years I've learned to avoid anything that remotely resembles a tune-up utility or a registry cleaner as they always end up breaking something in exchange for whatever dubious benefit you may gain elsewhere.

Sort of...LOL
