| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level Hi Shawn, Thanks again for your prompt reply. I had already set both of the programs to run in XP (SP2) mode, as I had thought that might also help. Unfortunately that was also unsuccessful. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level Leviathan, I suppose it's a bug in the program. You might send the makers of the program an email about it to see what they say. In the meant time you could see if just elevating the administrators account instead of turning off UAC completely will still allow the program to run. | Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level Hello Zidnea, and welcome to Vista Forums. Are you trying to merge the reg file while logged into a administrator account? You will not be able to do this from within a standard account. Did you get the UAC approval prompts when you tried to merge the reg file? In addition: Right click on the .reg file and click on Open With. Select Registry Editor if listed. If it is not there, the browse to C:\Windows\regedit.exe, and select the regedit application file. Default Programs Hope this helps, Shawn |

Check to make sure that your C: drive is showing the Owner as Trusted Installer. | Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level Zidnea, Are you logged into an administrator account? You can check to see if your account is one by opening the Control Panel (Classic View) and click on the User Accounts icon. Under your user name will be the type of account it is. If you are, then it sounds like you will need to do a clean reinstall if Vista. |
