| vista home premium x32 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level Okay is there a guide you would recommend I use so I ca set things up as I described? What I want to do is just create one account with Admin power but without any sort of password being required when I boot into Vista Home Premium. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level After you have created a password for your administrator account, you can setup Vista to logon automatically to that account. The built-in Administrator account has full control like the one you were use to in XP. |

| vista home premium x32 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level ARRG!! Trying to wrap my head around this and still having problems understanding things. Here's what I want to do: 1. Create a user log/account in of say "Monkeyboy" that doesnt require me to enter a user password 2. Grant "Monkeyboy" complete administraitive access like one can do in XP. Thus not requiring UAC box from poping open when I do stuff. Sounds like I would have to jump thru some hoops to do this. Or am I making things more complicated than need be? |

| VISTA HOME PREMIUM X64/ 7 x64 / 7x86 | Re: User Account Control (UAC) - Elevate Privilege Level Hi Bratboy, Have you installed yet? If not , see STEP 2 of this tutorial. Just enter the username Monkeyboy, leave the password boxes blank, click a picture and click next. Clean Install with a Full Version of Vista This should then logon automatically without having to enter anything I use this to control UAC - it's beta so use at your own risk, but I have had no problems with it. User Access Control - Vista User Account Control - UAC | Norton Labs You may feel that is safer than using the built in Administrator account. Hope it helps SIW2 |
